  Description
MaryAnne Banks, hired as a healthcare advocate in 2001, advises, counsels, and represents clients in the MO HealthNet programs for families, children, and pregnant women. She also ensures that Medicaid managed care plans comply with contracts, and she conducts community outreach presentations on eligibility for the programs, benefits and consumer advocacy. Her prior work experience as a Medicaid eligibility specialist for patients without insurance, and as a project specialist for healthcare billing departments, provided her with a working knowledge of state eligibility criteria, budgets, state-funded programs and medical billing. Education: Banks graduated summa cum laude from Webster University with a BA in Healthcare Management. She was awarded honors from the Business Department.
