Providing high-quality legal assistance & equal access to justice to low-income people...

Information for Pro Bono Programs Working with Entrepreneurs

The Community Economic Development Program of Legal Services of Eastern Missouri (LSEM) was established in 2011 to provide legal assistance and education to entrepreneurs who are low income and to community based nonprofits in the greater St. Louis area.

Due to the interest around the country in creating similar transactional pro bono programs, LSEM received a grant from the Legal Services Corporation in part to gather information from successful programs around the country and create a best practices guide for transactional pro bono programs that work with entrepreneurs.  The content on this page is a result of that project.
