Legacy Giving Program
THE FUTURE OF JUSTICE THROUGH LEGACY GIVING
Legacy Giving is a great way to protect access to justice for the clients and communities we serve. A Legacy Gift to Legal Services of Eastern Missouri demonstrates your legacy support for the vision of Equal Justice For All.
Legacy Giving is a capstone gift that helps fulfill your charitable intentions by providing the financial resources to sustain the work for future generations.
A Legacy Gift can be done by adding Legal Services of Eastern Missouri as a beneficiary of your estate. A legacy gift to Legal Services may enhance your financial planning and security while also benefitting the community.
With careful planning, it may be possible to reduce or eliminate some tax liabilities and you may also turn some appreciated assets into an income for yourself and others.
WAYS TO GIVE
The most common way to make a Legacy Gift is to designate Legal Services of Eastern Missouri as a beneficiary through a qualified retirement plan such as an IRA, 401(k) or similar investment plan.
Other ways to make a Legacy Gift include:
-
- Direct gift(s) of cash or appreciated assets;
- Life insurance beneficiary gift;
- Bequest in a Will or Trust;
- Life income gift;
- Charitable gift annuity, charitable remainder trust or charitable lead trust
