Starting on April 1, 2023 the Missouri Department of Social Services (DSS) will resume Annual Renewals to check if Missourians who have MO HealthNet
(Missouri Medicaid) are still eligible to keep their coverage!
The Annual Renewal process will run from
April 2023-April 2024. You can check the Annual Renewal Timeline to learn when you can expect to be contacted by the state.
There are a number of critical things to do to keep your coverage:
Make sure DSS has your current address.
If you have moved since you got your MO HealthNet coverage (Medicaid or CHIP), you can update your address in three ways:
-
- Go to the Department’s Report a Change tool
- Call 1.855.373.4636
- Go to your local Resource Center – Click here to Find an Office
If DSS is able to determine you are still eligible without any need for you to fill out a new form, you will get a notice in the mail telling you that your coverage continues.
If you get an Annual Renewal Form, fill it out, sign it and return to DSS.
If you get an Annual Renewal Form in the mail, you must return it to DSS within 55 days. DSS will use this Form to determine if you are still eligible for MO HealthNet. Remember to sign the form!
If you get a form but don’t return it in time (or don’t sign it)—don’t panic!
If you get a notice telling you that your coverage is ending because your form was late, not received, or not signed, you should turn in a fully-complete, signed form as soon as possible. DSS can still perform your Annual Renewal within 90 days after sending you the notice ending your coverage.
